The Highway 53 inspection station is located on highway 53 nine (9) miles southwest of Rathdrum, Idaho.

The Highway 53 inspection station will open May 8 and operate through September 30.  The Highway 53 station will operate all day light hours seven (7) days a week.

The Highway 53 boat/watercraft station performed 5,195 inspections for the 2019 season. Of these iinspections only 1 hotwash was performed. 38 vehicles were returned to the inspection station by law enforcement officers.

The Highway 53 boat/watercraft inspection station performed 7,241 inspections for their 2020 season. Of these inspections, only 2 hotwashes were performed.  47 vehicles were returned to the inspection station by law enforcement officers.

The Highway 53 boat/watercraft inspection station performed 6,194 inspections for their 2021 season.  Of these inspections, 16 hotwashes were performed.  38 vehicles were returned to the inspection station by law enforcement officers.
